We are committed to participating in Sett 2026 to give school librarians in Östergötland the opportunity for in-depth professional development and a broader understanding of current trends. By learning from inspiring examples and keeping abreast of current trends, school librarians can strengthen both their profession and the educational role of school libraries. For us at Biblioteksutveckling Östergötland, this is an important and long-term investment in the development and future of school libraries in the region.
For many years, we have chosen to visit Sett because the exhibition, meetings and talks provide us with new ideas, tools and inspiration to take back to our organisations. This year (2026), we are travelling from Svedala Municipality with a large group comprising preschool teachers, deputy headteachers, ICT educators and administrative staff to learn about the latest developments in education and digital innovation. This enables us to continue to develop and maintain high standards. For us, the trip is a key investment in professional development and keeping abreast of industry trends. It also gives us the opportunity to network, exchange experiences and strengthen the sense of community among colleagues.
We are coming from Södra Ängby School in Bromma with all our teachers. We are looking for inspiration on language development, sustainability, assistive technology and AI. For many years, we have driven our school’s continuous development through peer learning and various training initiatives tailored to individual needs. We now want to make a broader effort to bring fresh energy into the school and hope and believe that Sett 2026 will be able to contribute to this.
We see Sett as an excellent opportunity to keep abreast of developments in the sector, attend interesting lectures, workshops and seminars, and meet suppliers and other school authorities to network and exchange experiences.
We are visiting Sett 2026 alongside the area’s headteachers to network, learn about current trends and be inspired by new ideas. The visit forms part of our professional development initiative focusing on headteachers’ leadership – and offers an opportunity to gain new insights that will strengthen the school of the future.
We are doing this as a skills development initiative in Nybro municipality, where we are sending, among other things, 12 ICT educators to Sett. The idea behind this is that the Sett fair is an excellent forum for skills development and business intelligence for our ICT educators, where they can replenish with new knowledge and network both internally and externally. The ICT educators then take the knowledge home with them and spread it further in our organisation via peer learning. Also travelling with us are development strategists and our head of school.
We have several purposes with our participation at Sett. Firstly, our 29 schools are spread out from Kalix to Landskrona and Sett will be a good opportunity for us to let our schools' digitalisation managers network with each other. We also want our fantastic teachers to have the opportunity to explore and be inspired about learning in a digitised world. We are in the process of implementing a joint progression plan for digital skills and AI, which makes this year's conference programme a perfect fit. Our heads of schools and several of our principals will also be visiting Sett.
We are a team that sees the chance to refuel new ideas and inspiration during the Sett days in April. We focus on putting the learner at the centre, but it's not always easy. So we are looking for ideas and experiences of how colleagues work with learning. And, of course, AI is very much in demand right now. The Åland University of Applied Sciences will participate with about ten people at Sett in April 2024.
We at Rösjöskolan have a planning and results analysis day during Sett. We will spend part of the day at the Sett fair to strengthen our external analysis as part of competence development. We think that this is part of our school's development and sharpening our teaching strategies for lifelong learning. In this way, we ‘kill two birds with one stone’, as lifelong learning concerns not only the pupils, but also all the adults who work at the school.
