Finland is currently undertaking one of the most ambitious future-oriented initiatives in the education sector – a national vision project aimed at defining the knowledge, competencies, learning environments, and pedagogical practices that tomorrow’s students will need in basic education. Venla Bernelius, Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Education and Culture and Associate Professor at the University of Helsinki, is one of the coordinators of the work of bringing researchers, teachers, municipalities, and students together around a shared vision of the future.
