NPF for all ages
What is NPF – and how can the right support make a difference? Neuropsychiatric functional variations (NPF) include difficulties with how the brain processes, interprets and organizes information from our senses. This can involve impressions from touch, balance, vision, hearing, taste or proprioception – the body’s internal sense of position. When these impressions are not integrated as they should, everyday life can become more demanding, for both children and adults. Sensory processing is central to our development, ability to learn new things and to be able to act in a way that feels safe and appropriate. With sensory integration difficulties, you can, for example, experience hypersensitivity, avoidance behaviours, difficulty concentrating or challenges with motor skills, speech and learning. For many, adaptations or targeted tools provide valuable support in understanding their surroundings, planning, regulating emotions and creating structure. ABA Skol offers a wide range of products and solutions that support people with NPF of all ages – from sensory aids to educational tools and materials for adapted environments. Our goal is to contribute to a more understandable, safe and inclusive everyday life for everyone.
