Linnéskolan in Älmhult’s results with Imvi – from Smålandsposten
In an article published by Smålandsposten (June 15, 2025), the newspaper highlights how students with reading and concentration difficulties have received support through VR training at Linnéskolan in Älmhult. Over the course of twelve weeks, a group of students participated in a structured training program using Imvi’s technology. One of them was Zackarias, 14 years old, who has both ADHD and dyslexia.
The training, which took place for 15 minutes per day before the school day began, aimed to improve binocular vision and eye coordination — factors that directly affect reading ability and focus. The students used their mobile phones together with VR headsets, training while watching moving content from sources such as SVT and YouTube.
The results showed clear improvements among all participants, including increased reading speed and improved concentration. In Zackarias’s case, his reading speed increased by 33 percent.
“It has become easier for me — both in school and outside of school.”

“I am incredibly proud of the entire group that took part in and completed the project.”

The research behind the VR training was developed in collaboration with researchers at the Karolinska Institute. It shows that poor binocular vision and weak visual attention affect both reading ability and concentration — something that is more common among students with reading difficulties, ADHD, or dyslexia. With VR, eye coordination can be trained in a simple and motivating way, often while watching educational programs from UR, SVT, or other sources.
At Imvi, we are proud and grateful to all the students, teachers, and schools who dare to think differently — and to Smålandsposten for highlighting the results of Linnéskolan’s work.
