Mysteriet med den försvunna degen
This short story, designed together with author Leone Milton, draws inspiration from our teaching material, Se möglicherwegnerna, and is aimed at grades 4-6, with a connection to the core content of Swedish. The purpose of the short story is to give students an opportunity to develop reading comprehension and writing skills while also practicing developing valuable entrepreneurial skills such as creativity. Students will work within a certain structure, which gives them guidelines to follow, while having the freedom to explore their own unique stories and ideas by creating the ending of the short story themselves. The goal of the activity is for students to practice: Shared and individual reading. Shared and individual writing. Oral presentations and oral storytelling for different audiences. Handwriting and/or writing with digital tools. Processing of own and shared texts for content and form. Giving and receiving feedback on texts.

Framtidskoll

A new survey from the non-profit educational organization Ung Företagsamhet shows that high school students in Sweden are demanding a school that connects theory to reality to a greater extent. A full 36 percent of students want more practice in understanding how the knowledge they learn in school can be used in life outside the classroom. “We see a clear message from young people: they want to understand why they are learning what they are doing. They long to see the connection between school and reality,” says Tove Jarl, CEO of Ung Företagsamhet.
