Mediekompass’ task is to help schools with teaching in matters related to media and information literacy – MIL – such as journalism and news media. Mediekompass offers material for all levels of the school, from year one to adult educations.
By using news media in teaching, the school captures the issues that are current and which the young people face both at home and in society in general.
Teachers, librarians and other pedagogues can find everything at Mediekompass from news quizzes with questions taken from the latest news feed, with the aim of encouraging continuous news monitoring, to complete lesson plans.
Mediekompass is an initiative by Swedish media companies and Swedish Media Publishers’ Association.
