Quality assurance of digital learning tools: Nordic testbeds in focus

During this panel discussion, we will present and discuss how the Nordic countries are working with quality assurance of digital learning tools. Several Nordic countries have initiated and organized collaborative arenas, often referred to as testbeds, where edtech companies, teachers, and researchers come together. Countries such as Sweden and Finland will showcase examples of these arenas and discuss how they contribute to quality assurance in different ways. We will also highlight some of the challenges in this field, such as funding and creating sustainable collaboration models between public and private actors.

Discussion Points:

• Why are these arenas important, and in what ways do they add value?
• Learning and teaching: How can we ensure that learning tools are technically robust and aligned with teachers’ needs and proven pedagogical practices?
• Challenges and opportunities: Address key obstacles such as funding and political support and explore potential pathways for future growth.
