Kil Municipality has seven primary schools, six of which are primary and middle schools and one is a high school, Sannerudsskolan. All of these units have now implemented StudyBee.
“StudyBee clearly showed that they understand the processes in primary schools. They listened to all roles, principal, teachers and student health, and understood both the possibilities and our limitations. We have received a product that suits us, we have not had to adapt to the product,” says Patrik Backman, sector manager in Kil Municipality.
The background to choosing StudyBee was partly that the system that the schools were already using discontinued the document management function, and partly that in their customer evaluation they saw a clear need for improved communication between home and school, and simplified accessibility to information. They also wanted to make it easier for both school staff and the home to follow the student’s knowledge development continuously, and not just when certain results have been achieved.
“Citizens today have different demands than just a few years ago. People want to have access to information themselves and receive notifications when something has been updated. Guardians also want to be able to be more involved in their children’s development and not have to ask for the information, it should be easily accessible. StudyBee was the solution we were looking for,” says Patrik Backman, sector manager in Kil Municipality.
In addition, StudyBee supports the municipality’s three strategic plans for primary school: Digitalization, Language Development and Mathematics Development.
“StudyBee will be a common platform for this work. We will be able to extract statistics at all levels, individual, class, school, follow development more effectively and provide support in a timely manner,” says Patrik Backman.
